Like all great love stories, ours began in a Sunset Boulevard record shop, while drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon beer and listening to Eric B. & Rakim’s, “Paid in Full” album. It was right then and there that soon to be Cosmic co-founders Eitan Kalma and Sean McBride had the idea to host a comedy show at that very same Echo Park record shop, Cosmic Vinyl. Sean booked the comics, Eitan bought more PBR, they both invited friends, and the Cosmic Comedy Show was officially born.
We love a good time and we decided we wanted to have more good times, so we hosted another show, this one with a musical guest, and then another one… Soon after, former San Diego Comedy Palace Head Talent Booker, Zach Miller joined the team. And then in a move eerily similar to Skydance’s acquisition of Paramount and the WB, wunderkind producer Damon Monday came on board next. And just like that, the Cosmic Media Conglomerate was on the map!
